Colour moods make the music

After FUTUR FILM finished shooting the music video, director and VFX supervisor met to dicuss the feasibility of all different sorts of effects, based on quality, colour depth and resolution of the original footage.

Before starting to work on the visual effects, a post production workflow needed to be established at QUADRIGAFX, which was planned by the director and the vfx supervisor as well.

We decided to use specific colour schemes to be able to distinguish between the three different locations and two different time settings in the clip. We also gave every location and time setting it’s own visual effect set. After the colour schemes had been turned into colour moods at our studio the director had the chance to decide on smaller changes. Based on the final colour moods we created a compositing template for each location and time setting.
